Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year

Looking for a way to make Mocha Mousse work for your kids or baby brand?

Mocha Mousse, Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year, has had some very strong reactions. And I’ll be honest here: I was a little disappointed.

Personally, I was hoping for a shade of green! (Hello, Wicked!)

Shades of brown have been popular in apparel for a while now. So Mocha Mousse is not really taking us somewhere new.

But it does signal how important this color is. 

Brown is a great neutral and the best part for kids: it doesn’t show dirt!

I decided to play with Mocha Mousse and built a little baby capsule that also uses pink and (surprise!) green - a classic combo. And I think it works!

Work in progress… I usually doodle out an idea & pull color chips to see them in real life.

This palette would work well for a transitional collection from Holiday into early Spring or even Summer into Fall.
